Samsung, in a press release today, announced the latest Galaxy A 2017 series smartphones. The latest series consists of 5.7-inch A7, 5.2-inch A5 and 4.7-inch A3 smartphones. They all come with IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. This is the first time that A series smartphones are coming up with water resistance.

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., today announced the latest Galaxy A series, including the 5.7-inch A7, 5.2-inch A5 and 4.7-inch A3 smartphones, with refinements that deliver a beautiful design, powerful performance and ultimate convenience.
The Galaxy A 2017 series sports metal frame and 3D glass back to give it a premium look. All the three phones have Samsung Pay, LTE connectivity, USB Type-C connectivity and fingerprint scanner. They will be running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. The 2017 series will be available in four different color options: Black Sky, Gold Sand, Blue Mist and Peach Cloud. All of the phones in this series will have expandable storage (up to 256 GB), something which is missing out on most of the phones of recent times.

- Battery: 2,350 mAh with fast charging
- Dimensions: 135.4 x 66.2 x 7.9 mm

Samsung has not yet revealed the pricing of the above phones but it is believed that the price of Galaxy A7 (2017) will be around $430 (₹ 29,000 approx.). The Galaxy A 2017 Series will become available first in Russia in early-January and then it will be expanded to global markets.
